Worrying news for Arsenal as Fabio Vieira is out for the remainder of this year as he undergoes surgery. The Portuguese and Arsenal midfielder last featured for Arsenal in November before the international break against Burnley and got a red card in the twenty-fourth minute.
He did not play last weekend against Brentford because of his three-match ban due to the red card; Arsenal went on to win 1-0, with Kai Havertz scoring for Arsenal. The 23-year-old Fabio Vieira was expected to feature in tomorrow’s Champions League match between Arsenal and Lens, but he was not seen in training.
It’s reported that he was not feeling comfortable for some time and took some tests. Arteta gives some updates on Fabio, “Yes, Fabio will be out for a couple of weeks, the remainder of this year, to be specific. He had an operation on his groin as advised by the medical team. We expect him to be out for weeks.”
Players lately have been active with the injury. In most clubs in Europe, players are out on long-term or short-term injuries this season.
