Manchester City midfielder De Bruyne has been out of action for Manchester City since the first week of the start of the season. He encountered a hamstring injury in a match between Burnley and Man City back in August; he came out of the pitch limping in the twenty-third minute.
Manchester City was in hope of him returning at the beginning of December, but it seems he will be out till the end of December. The 32-year-old Belgium international,Kevin De Bruyne scored nine goals and provided 19 assists for Man City in 45 appearances last season.
De Bruyne also left the pitch in 36 minutes due to a hamstring injury in June, the final match for the UEFA Champions League winner between Man City and Inter Milan. Kevin De Bruyne looked heartbroken when he left the pitch with Phil Foden replacing him. Man City went on to win the final 1-0, with Rodri’s goal in the 65 minutes.
Pep Guardiola, talking about De Bruyne’s injury, said,” I spoke to him, and he said he feels better now. With this kind of injury, you cannot pressure the players. When he feels better enough, and the doctors are confident, we can take the next step. You don’t want to go early in and back again outside.”
While attending the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for the Formula 1 event, Kevin De Bruyne said when he is hope to return to the pitch,” I am hopeful after the new year I will be back and strong.”
It would be great to see De Bruyne back on the pitch.Obviously on of the best to ever play for Man City.
